Job responsibilities:
- Partner with CCB’s Data Publishers and Product Owners in cross-disciplinary teams to improve how they publish their information.
- Advocate the adoption of open-sourced data processing pipelines & algorithms to help clients manage and anticipate data needs from varied structured and unstructured data sources
- Actively be involved in researching and experimenting with leading/emerging data governance and processing methodologies and technologies to facilitate advanced analytics use cases.
- Develop metrics and procedures for assessing, managing and characterizing data
- Participate in collaborating with the firm's Chief Data Offices and Technology Functions to develop standards and best practices
- Influence key stakeholders to define tasks and guidelines for workflows and manage decisions throughout the lifecycle.
- Builds product backlog, prioritize its items to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and continuously
- Co-ordinates project activities across different client service and operations groups, technology teams and cross-functional groups such as compliance and legal
- Challenges stakeholders to ensure optimal process design ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and proper operational risk management including controls
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS or Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or other quantitative or financial subject areas
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with data analytics projects
- Minimum 3 years’ experience developing advanced data visualization and presentations preferably with Tableau
- Experience with relational databases optimizing SQL to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analyses
- Experience in reporting development and testing, and ability to interpret unstructured data and draw objective inferences given known limitations of the data
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions
- Highly motivated, self-directed, curious to learn new technologies
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience working with data analytics projects in the financial services domain
- Experience developing advanced data visualization and presentations with Tableau
- Experience with Hive, Spark SQL, Impala or other big-data query tools
- AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or other Cloud Data Warehouse experience
- Experience with ThoughtSpot or similar tools empowering stakeholders to better understand their data
- Experience with business intelligence analytic and data wrangling tools such as Alteryx, SAS, or Python
