ETL Quality Assurance Tester - Tech Lead

Role Summary & Role Description

We are seeking a skilled ETL QA Analyst with expertise in SQL Server and database testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing diverse source data, testing various data feeds, and conducting UI testing within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive analysis of source data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes and data feeds.
• Conduct database testing to validate data integrity, transformations, and mappings.
• Execute UI testing to ensure data visualization and user interaction meet requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product owners to identify and resolve issues.
• Work as an individual tester along with the development team, ensuring timely and effective testing of deliverables.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Document test results, defects, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and technologies related to ETL testing and QA methodologies.

Core/Must have skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as an ETL QA Analyst with expertise in SQL Server and database testing.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling.

• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and conducting complex data validations.
• Experience with UI testing tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently.

Good to have skills

• Experience with Java automation frameworks such as Selenium or TestNG.
• Familiarity with Azure & Snowflake data platform.
• Experience in API testing.
