Our Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence centre with around 2000+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. Over the last decade, INOPC has evolved to become the largest engineering hub serving more than 40 countries across different energy sectors. The team caters to the four business units—Transformers, Grid Integration, Grid Automation, High Voltage and has successfully executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Hitachi Energy HVDC High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) is a key enabler for a carbon-neutral energy system. It is highly efficient for transmitting large amounts of electricity over long distances, integration of renewables and interconnecting grids, opening up for new sustainable transmission solutions. HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) and HVDC Light® are highly efficient alternatives for transmitting bulk power and for special purpose applications. The classic HVDC technology is used to transmit electric power over long distances by overhead transmission lines or submarine cables. It is also used to interconnect separate power systems, where traditional alternating current (AC) connections cannot be used. HVDC Light® is an underground and submarine cable power transmission technology developed by Hitachi Energy that offers additional benefits compared to HVDC Classic
Mission Statement:
With the broader adoption of HVDC technology around the globe, Hitachi Energy is expanding the team of HVDC Product Management with a dedicated person for supporting data analysis in different fields. In this position you will be responsible to collect, structure, maintain and analyze different data of technological and commercial KPIs for the HVDC offering. The result of the analysis will support the Global Product Manager for other parts of the organization in strategy definition and prioritization. You will be part of a highly skilled and diversified team, operating globally and in close cooperation with all the main functions of the business, including Sales, Bid & Proposals, Engineering, Operation, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Service and R&D.
Your Responsibilities:
Create right structure of information for technical, commercial & marketing to be effectively stored, accessed, and analyzed.
Responsible to monitor the quality of the database.
Analyze technology and commercial trends, in cooperation with Global and Regional product managers, to support:
Past and current performances (MS%, profitability…)
Definition of roadmap based on expected technology trends.
Target pricing based on latest won/lost opportunities.
Costing trends to identify areas of attention.
Presentation of the results in different forums through effective communication of the trends, gaps and urgencies.
Awareness in the Technology of HVDC systems. Good to have appreciation of the economics and commercial aspects.
Proven capability to structure the results in high quality slides and executive reports.
Handling of confidential & sensitive data with care.

Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Electrical / Electronics preferred.
Has previous experience of Product Structure Management.
Basic knowledge in HVDC/FACTS/Substation is preferred.
Structured and well-organized person.
Capable of self-prioritizing and self-driving the day to day activities based on overall agreed activities and priorities.
Collaborative person, capable to work cross functional and with multicultural backgrounds.
Shall be capable to understand the right level of accuracy of data based on purpose.
Strong communication / collaboration skills required.
Good intercultural sensitivity along with strong leadership skills.
