We are looking for a results-driven Senior Estimation Engineer to lead the cost estimation process for our engineering projects in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will excel in preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and coordinating with engineering and procurement teams to ensure the accuracy of bids. This role requires strong analytical and leadership skills to provide insightful support for project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates by analyzing project drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
Create competitive bid proposals, outlining project costs, timelines, and deliverables for client submission.
Analyze market trends for labor, material, and equipment costs to ensure estimates align with current conditions.
Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align estimation with technical requirements.
Identify potential risks in project costs and timelines, developing mitigation strategies to minimize financial impact.
Suggest cost-effective alternatives or value engineering measures to improve project profitability.
Compile detailed cost reports, comparing estimated vs. actual costs to highlight deviations and recommend corrective actions.
Review supplier and subcontractor quotes for accuracy, providing negotiation support where required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in estimation, preferably within engineering or construction.
Certifications in cost estimation or project management are a plus.
Thorough understanding of engineering concepts, construction methodologies, and material specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills to create accurate and competitive estimates.
Clear verbal and written communication for liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.
Efficient multitasking to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks within deadlines.
Ability to lead estimation teams and mentor junior engineers.
