The ServiceNow Administrator is a technical resource who performs the day-to-day administration of the platform. The Administrators primary responsibility is to maintain stability and usability of the platform across production and non-production environments. The Administrator will work closely with other administrators, developers, stakeholders, process owners and the platform owner to manage support for incidents, lead upgrade planning and execution, manage instance security, and provide support to developers. Under the direction of the platform owner the administrator directs activities aligned with priorities requiring collaboration and direction through to completion. He/she must have excelled written and oral communication skills to be able to work, collaborate and coordinate between technical and non-technical people within the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Captures business and user requirements as stories and acceptance criteria noting priority ensuring requirements are understood, developed, tested and delivered to specifications.
  • ScrumMaster activities, driving stories into sprints and through to completion.
  • QA testing creates test plans and coordinate testing activities.
  • Light development/configuration activities
  • Lead upgrade and cloning activities and execution
  • Manages support for incident resolution.
  • Manage instance security through user/group access, role administration, ACLs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • ServiceNow Fundamentals (Required)
  • ServiceNow Certified Administrator (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodologies (Preferred)
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
  • Intermediate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, One Note, SharePoint
  • PowerShell experience
  • Experience in JavaScript plus
EXPERIENCE
  • 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience (Required)
  • Experience with ServiceNow (Required)
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and projects (Required)
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills (Required)
  • Experience leading technical teams on highly complex enterprise technical infrastructure projects (Preferred)
