Syarah is on a mission to change how people buy their cars in Saudi and the Middle East. We offer buyers an end-to-end digital car buying experience where they can buy their next car from the comfort of their living rooms. Under the hood, we build systems to manage sourcing of cars, inspection, photography, merchandising, reconditioning, financing, insurance, shipping and many more. We are looking for a
Data Engineer to maintain and enhance our data warehouse and ETL pipelines. Work alongside with our software engineers to build production data materializations in BigQuery and other databases, and design solutions to pressing analytics and targeting problems in the progressive space. You will work with a small and talented team with a passion for building an automotive digital retailing for the Saudi Arabia market.

Responsibilities
1. Contribute to the data collection/data cleaning/data modeling process
2. Architect, build, monitor, and maintain data ETL pipelines that support our business
domain.
3. Implement the data dashboards needed for business metrics delivery and interpretation.
4. Integrate seamlessly with the existing data workflow and legacy systems.
5. Implement deployment workflows to take prototype data systems to production.
6. Collaborate effectively with BI and technical team
7. Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
8. Build utilities, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to enable data flow
patterns better.
9. Develop analytical data models and dashboards to serve the needs of insights and
analytics
10. Constantly strive to optimize the data models to provide data with quality and trust.
11. Utilize and advance continuous integration and deployment frameworks
12. Be able to work with, clarify, and find creative solutions for ambiguous requirements.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's in Computer Science or relevant fields
2. Strong knowledge of data structures, ETL pipelines, and data processing/cleaning
3. 1+ years of experience building production-grade data platforms using AWS or GCP
4. Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database technologies (SQL, Postgres, Mongo,
etc.)
5. Proficiency in Python with 1+ experience in data manipulation libraries and
orchestration frameworks (Pandas, PySpark, Airflow, and related data engineering tools)
6. Hands-on and deep experience working with Google Data Products (e.g. BigQuery,
DataForm, Cloud Function, DataStream, etc.).
7. Proficiency in working with/implementing REST APIs
8. Working knowledge of Git, Docker, and associated deployment tools
9. Aware of CI/CD best practices
