It’s important that everyone understands the budgets and how the hotel is performing. We can all see if the hotel is busy or not, but not everyone knows what goes on behind the scenes and what everything actually costs to run. You will use your creativity to bring this information to life for everyone in the hotel to understand the true picture and what needs to be achieved.


You’ll be working with a friendly, motivated team who you will recruit and lead with your distinctive style and work with them to develop their full potential and ensure everyone provides genuine heartfelt care to our guests.


Regarding the role and responsibilities, you will need to perform the following:


Payroll:


·To collect from Personnel department the Payroll Register and Payroll Detail Sheets and all supporting documents.


·To review the salary calculation and prepare the journal entries.


·To print out payroll register, summary of salary to Director of People & Culture, Director of Finance & Business Support and General Manager for approval of each month.


·To prepare payroll reconciliation and submit to Assistant Director of Finance & Administration for check and approve by Director of Finance & Administration.


·To prepare payroll cheques and ensure that the cheque amount or electronic transfer is correct as indicated in the payroll master.


·To prepare the tax forms for payroll taxes and the social insurance reports and to perform the payment procedures by the deadline.


·To review other benefits payment to employee such as medical reimbursement.


General Cashier:


·To manage all daily cash and cheque collection (from cashiers, bill collectors) in the strict respect of hotel policies and to formally reconcile collected amounts with system reports.


·To perform daily foreign currency exchange with the officially appointed money changer and check and reconcile all foreign exchange submission and calculation from Front Office and POS


·To prepare and perform without delay banking of all daily cash and cheques collected


·To prepare on daily basis the General Cashier Report where daily collection/banking is formally reconciled.


·To maintain all in-house funds at operational level by timely reimbursing cashier’s paid-outs and proceed randomly to float count, formalized in report.


·To monitor the daily hotel foreign exchange rates and updates all rates as per hotel policy.


·To balance petty cash disbursements against petty cash float and ensure the timely reimbursement so that all petty cash needs are catered for, in the strict respect of hotel policies.


·To ensure the safeguard of all cheques and cash received in his/her custody


It can be a physical role and although there are the usual meetings, briefings and of course reports to run, you will need to be on your feet some of the day out and about in the hotel, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we can. You will need to speak English for this specific role, and looking at your next move we would love it if you were multi-lingual, but it’s not essential just yet.


What We need from you:



Relevant qualification  
2 years similar experience. Experience within hotel industry is an added advantage
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience  
Must speak fluent English
