• Understands, diagnoses and resolves Hi Tech and difficult-to-repair complaint vehicles;
• Guides the workshop's assigned group in methodical diagnosis to ensure Fix-It-Right activity;
• Ensures all customer request (Prime Items) has been diagnosed properly done and resolved;
• Checks and evaluates all warranty claims in the service order by following workshop warranty procedures;
• Performs road test and provides repair recommendations;
• Responsible for performing quality check (static and dynamic) on all jobs assigned to his workshop group;
• Coordinates and communicates with NSD for technical difficulties in the workshop and request technical support as per FIR SOP;
• Ensures timely and accurate reporting of FIR activity to the direct supervisor;
• Assisting and supporting all workshop staffs to implement and sustain 5'S programs;
• Ensure safety compliance by following the TMC recommended safety enhancement activities;
• Promotes Kikken Yochi training activities to assigned group;
• Reports workshop related accidents and implement preventive countermeasures;
• Conduct OJT for technicians by using information from NSD, repair manuals, Service Bulletins and technical information for all technically difficult repairs and diagnosis;
• Conducts and completes implementation of Pre-Delivery Campaign, Special Service Campaigns and other technical activities with the assigned group;
• Conduct FIR team development meeting to the assigned group in workshop to update them about information on technical issues;
• Shares information using repair manuals, Service Bulletins and Technical Information to support technically difficult repairs and diagnosis to Technicians;
• Attends and passes the TSM Kodawari trainings and assessments;
• Complies with the TSM Kodawari items related to workshop operations;
• Utilizes diagnoses and repairs forms and other TSM compliant documents in the workshop;
• Shares all important information related to repeat repairs and on difficult to repair jobs and repair supports immediately with Technical Advisor and Technicians;
• Responsible for applying the kaizen know how to improve vehicle serviceability and creates SKR report related to and not limited to (repair procedures, SST & equipment, workshop operations;
• Creates a workshop Technical Report (WTR) for product quality issues encountered in the workshop assigned area;
• Helps in maintaining workshop tools and equipment in proper operating conditions by conducting monthly inventory of tools for assigned group;
• Carries out any assignments instructed by the direct supervisor.
