Aluminium Fabrication Production Planning Manager

Our client specializes in industrial and commercial products for oil and gas; petrochemical, marine, renewable energy, energy storage; chemicals and other process industries.

We are hiring a UAE experienced production planning engineer with strong experience in aluminium fabrication to join their Ras Al Khaimah production factory.

The role is responsible for the production planning and expediting of work flows and materials to meet production schedules.

Role Summary

• Prepare and plan manufacturing production schedules to prioritize and optimize production to improve labor and material costs.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to schedule shipments according to sales and customer orders.
• Plan and prepare raw material and equipment requirements to ensure availability to stock to minimize delays.
• Prepare dispatch delivery notes to ensure finished goods deliveries are dispatched on time to meet customer commitments.
• Coordinate with the production manager and supervisor to mitigate risks associated with planning, lead time and availability of materials.
• Prepare production reports based on quality, defects, wastage and delays.
• Design and implement new work flows to optimize production, labor utilization and quality, whilst reducing wastage and shrinkage.
• Carry out regular audits of surplus and obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate with the finance team to prepare project costings, monthly forecasts and variance reports.
• Plan production in line with mandatory Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability requirements.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 8 – 10 years’ production planning in steel / aluminum fabrication, industrial insulation, cladding and jacketing for the oil & gas, marine and industrial sectors.
• Proficient in project management software tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• UAE driving license is a strong advantage.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing

Candidate Profile

• Currently living in the United Arab Emirates – must be able to work in Ras Al Khaimah.
• Fluent in English – must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and work under pressure.
