About the Business area:

Compliance is an independent function at ADCB which takes an active approach to risk management and monitoring, ensuring the Bank complies with applicable laws, regulations, rules and market standards. The Group creates, implements and monitors policies and procedures designed to prevent or detect financial crime and any compliance breaches of the Bank, its employees and clients. It also monitors and measures the impact of conduct risk and compliance on the Bank’s risk appetite and profile.

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

• Develop and manage a framework, policies and procedures designed to ensure governance and to mitigate risk across the Group, which is aligned to best practice and international standard
• Embed, assess and enhance the governance processes across all businesses within the Group
• Responsible for ensuring and overseeing best practices and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations that contributes to the success of the business
• Define and apply the governance framework across the Group & Subsidiaries in line with international standards
• Drafting and Reviewing of Governance Framework, Charters /TOR across the Group & Subsidiaries
• Conduct Baseline & Deep Dive Analysis/ Overviews/Reviews - Group & Subsidiaries
• Track Global Governance Trends eg. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance
• Monitor Governance Policy & Disclosures – Website and Intranet Obligations
• Assist with producing the Governance Section of the Annual Integrated Reports (AIR)
• Management of the Governance Processes and Delivery, including but not limited to the preparation and set-up process for AGM
