The role:


STARZPLAY is seeking a dynamic and client-focused Advertising Sales Director for a leading Arabic language magazine to join our Advertising Department. You will be responsible for spearheading and directing all advertising sales activities for the print and digital editions of the magazine. This influential role encompasses developing soliciting advertising from the high end fashion and female focused brands.  It’s essential that the candidates have in-depth experience of over 10 years managing advertising sales of a premium regional Arabic language magazine.  Existing contacts with luxury and fashion clients is critical factor for being considered for this role.


Job Responsibilities:


  1. Magazine & Digital Advertising Sales Strategy:
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies aligned with company objectives for the print and digital editions of the magazine.
  • Keep abreast of advertising trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics.
  1. Client Engagement:
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, understanding their advertising needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to devise customized solutions that drive desired results.
  1. Revenue Generation:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to generate revenue and achieve sales targets set for the publication
  • Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams while maximizing existing client accounts.
  1. Sales Target Achievement:
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets
  • Manage a sales pipeline effectively to ensure a steady flow of opportunities and conversions.
  1. Contract Negotiation:
  • Lead negotiations for advertising contracts, rates, and terms with media agencies and direct clients.
  • Ensure favorable terms and conditions that benefit the organization.

Qualifications:          


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in advertising sales and revenue generation through agencies and direct clients with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience leading sales of a premium Arabic language female focused magazine
  • Established and close contact with media buying agencies and direct clients within luxury, fashion and lifestyle segments.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing digital advertising strategies that drive results.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • Effective negotiation skills and a track record of maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Visionary thinking and a results-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English languages is a must with French a plus.
