  • To encourage children to be independent
  • To support learning in the classroom under the direction of the teacher
  • To deliver interventions for individuals and small groups with special educational needs or gaps in their learning
ISP Principles
Begin with our children and students. Our children and students are at the heart of what we do. Simply, their success is our success. Wellbeing and safety are both essential for learners and learning. Therefore, we are consistent in identifying potential safeguarding and Health & Safety issues and acting and following up on all concerns appropriately.
Treat everyone with care and respect. We look after one another, embrace similarities and differences and promote the well-being of self and others.
Operate effectively. We focus relentlessly on the things that are most important and will make the most difference. We apply school policies and procedures and embody the shared ideas of our community.
Are financially responsible. We make financial choices carefully based on the needs of the children, students and our schools.
Learn continuously. Getting better is what drives us. We positively engage with personal and professional development and school improvement.
The Aquila School opened in September 2018, initially with only primary children, growing to become a mixed 3-18 through school in future years. The school is located in a residential area of Dubailand and focuses on providing children with amazing learning. We have grown very quickly and expect to have around 1300 pupils from FS1 to Y12 in the coming school year.
Teachers should be skilled at ensuring that children are actively learning throughout each lesson and ensuring that children make as much progress as possible and love coming to school.
Children and families love our school due to our focus on amazing learning and developing a sense of community and school connectedness. Teachers enjoy working here because they are genuinely empowered to teach the children what they need to learn right now.
The Aquila School is the first new build school designed and managed by The International Schools Partnerships (ISP) a comparatively new and rapidly growing organisation with schools in Europe, the Middle East, Mexico and the USA.
Primary Inclusion Teacher Key Responsibilities

  • Tasks to support the day to day running of the school- e.g. preparing resources, being responsible for specific areas etc.
  • Engaging the pupils in meaningful talk at all opportunities in order to develop language, and build relationships
  • Supervising the children, for example on trips, at break times, travelling around the school.
  • Managing pupil behaviour in a positive manner and being a positive role model in line with The Aquila Way on behaviour e.g. giving golden tickets, acknowledging children who have made good choices etc.
  • Ensuring confidentiality at all times i.e.- never discussing any aspect of the work of the school other than with colleagues in school
  • Being proactive in knowing the expectations of your work for each session
  • Meeting at least weekly with the inclusion team and phase leader
  • Working closely with the teachers to ensure there is effective communication-both oral and written concerning pupil progress and learning
