Job Description
The Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager will develop and deliver the sourcing strategies geared to leverage on group spend, maximize profitability, supplier performance and enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness through the supply chain.
They will be the subject matter expert in their fields of procurement who will provide strong commercial and supply chain counsel to Miral leadership for the categories under the responsibility of this role.
They will establish robust and sustainable contract management techniques to maximize supplier performance and contract effectiveness. Negotiate suitable contracts on a total cost of acquisition basis to achieve high levels of value for money at minimal commercial and operational risk to the group.
They will play a pivotal role with the transformation of procurement within Miral and deliver of optimized procurement processes and systems.
The job scope also includes:
Deliver a category management approach to procurement which will migrate the department from transaction based too long-term strategic partnership-based procurement Develop, lead and deliver category and sub-category strategies and procurement projects within the overall category, to ensure that savings and efficiencies are achieved Develop and deploy expertise within a particular area of spend (category) as required to achieve optimum value for money solutions and provide support to departments as required to ensure the best interests of the organization are protected and promoted Leverage on Miral group spend, consolidation opportunities, supply chain re-engineering and value engineering Develop and manage relationships with suppliers that contribute to performance management, build capacity, enhance control of the supply chain, and promote a partnering approach to managing contracts Support the development of the contract process, ensuring robust contracts are established and are compliant with policy, DOA and statutory and regulatory requirements Support procurement related negotiations which fall outside current strategies to ensure savings; value for money and efficiencies are secured and that coaching and mentoring is deployed to the business in the process Provide support, advice and guidance to managers acting as an ambassador for the development of procurement within the organization Contribute to the provision of internal and external training to develop supply chain and strategic sourcing understanding Work collaboratively as a lead with the Procurement Operations team to develop effective and efficient practices through improved supply chain utilization
As an ideal candidate, you will need to have:
Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (or studying towards Degree or Diploma level – ideally business or finance related 7-10 years of experience in Procurement and ideally within Strategic Sourcing or Category Management position Experience practicing strategic procurement overseas in the area of engineering (capex, general services, rides) Excellent leadership skills supported by strong planning and delivery techniques An effective communicator, using a broad range of techniques to motivate, stimulate and influence teams and individuals at all levels of the organization Customer Service Orientated and highly effective communicator and team player Results Orientated with strong performance management background supported by accurate and well evidenced management reporting. Expert in identifying, developing, setting and achieving targeted sourcing strategies and initiatives aligned to business objectives Experienced in supply market research & analysis, supplier identification & qualification, tender process, contract management and setting of tangible and robust performance criteria An excellent negotiator considerate of all variables and the ability to think and act strategically with strong commercial awareness, ability to interpret and negotiate contractual terms Ability to identify commercial and operational risk and construct and negotiate contractual SOW which effective mitigate these risks. Fluent in verbal and written English & Arabic language Strong analytic skills base
The Sourcing Manager will support and work with the Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager to develop and deliver the sourcing strategies geared to leverage on group spend, maximize profitability and enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness through the supply chain. They will negotiate suitable contracts on a total cost of acquisition basis to achieve high levels of value for money at minimal commercial and operational risk to the group. And will play a pivotal role in the transformation of procurement within Miral as well as delivering optimal procurement process and outcomes. As a Sales manager, you will be responsible for proactively soliciting and handling any sales opportunities, acquiring new customers, and maintaining existing customers within the assigned regions. The position is responsible for exploring new ways to generate and maximize revenues for the destination (whether package sales or theme park ticket sales). The individual should have the dedication to create and apply effective leisure sales strategies to exceed assigned sales KPI’s. The role includes representing Miral Destinations in all liaisons with the assigned rest of world markets. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong.
