Job Summary:
The Demi Chef De Partie will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of high-quality dishes in a professional kitchen setting. They will work closely with the Chef De Partie and other team members to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen operations.
Job Responsibility:
1. Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to the menu and standards set by the head chef.
2. Collaborate with the Chef De Partie and other team members to ensure that food preparation is done efficiently and in a timely manner.
3. Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following all hygiene and safety regulations.
4. Monitor food stock and communicate with the Chef De Partie regarding any shortages or quality issues.
5. Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff members.
6. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes and improvements to existing recipes.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Proven experience working as a Demi Chef De Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
2. In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
3. Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
5. Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
6. Certificate or diploma in culinary arts or a related field is a plus.
