The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the customer base in Algeria, developing a deep understanding of the assigned customers in terms of their business drivers, buying behaviors, and decision-making processes. This role requires a strategic approach to nurturing key relationships and driving sales growth within the UOP product portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and expand the customer base in Algeria, ensuring a strong understanding of each customer's business and purchasing dynamics.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success Organization (CSO) to foster and maintain relationships with key personnel within the customer organization especially Sonatrach, engineering contractors, and consulting firms.
  • Achieve the agreed annual sales revenue, direct margins, volumes, price, and product mix for the UOP product portfolio.
  • Demonstrate Sales Excellence through accurate forecasting, robust account plans, and a growing sales pipeline.
  • Work closely with the UOP Process Technologies (UPT) team and technical counterparts on business development opportunities.
  • Maintain an 18-month forecast in SFDC and collaborate with Credit & Collections to keep past dues within the company's working capital targets.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence gathering for submission to Business Leaders and Marketing.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of UOP's products, technologies, and offerings to align the right solutions with customer needs.
  • Negotiate and close sales, managing agreement preparations and purchase order processing as necessary.

We Value:


  • 10-15 years of successful sales or account management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales role preferably in the downstream.
  • A proven track record of growing and sustaining sales year on year.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or chemistry is required.
  • Fluency in Arabic, French and English is preferred,
  • Past work experience with Sonatrach is preferred
  • Ability to travel and conduct on-site customer visits as needed.
