Security Operations Lead
Information Technology · Cairo, Egypt (Hybrid) Job Summary: The Security Operations Lead is responsible for crafting and maintaining advanced security architectures throughout the organization, focusing on both cloud-based and enterprise-wide systems. This role blends strategic oversight with technical implementation, ensuring robust protection of the IT environment in line with business goals and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive security solutions, with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), while also supporting AWS and Azure environments. Lead security assessments to identify risks and vulnerabilities across all IT systems, with a focus on cloud infrastructures, particularly GCP. Establish and uphold security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices, aiming to safeguard information across all company platforms. Integrate security measures seamlessly into both IT and business operations to bolster the organization’s overall security without hindering operational efficiency. Proactively monitor and manage security systems, responding to incidents and vulnerabilities with a keen focus on cloud platforms, especially GCP. Participate in regular security audits and compliance checks, maintaining strict adherence to global standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR. Guide internal teams and external partners on adopting best security practices, with detailed instructions and training on handling GCP security mechanisms effectively. Stay updated with the latest advancements in security technologies and threats, with a particular focus on enhancements in cloud security Develop and oversee the delivery of targeted security training and workshops to improve the security acumen of all staff.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in security architecture with extensive exposure to cloud and enterprise environments. Comprehensive knowledge of security frameworks, data protection regulations, and cloud security architectures. Demonstrated ability to develop strategic security policies and implement them at an organizational level.
Skills:
Proficient in security domains including network and cloud security, encryption technologies, and data protection. Experienced with cybersecurity tools and platforms, particularly those related to GCP, as well as Splunk and Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance tools. Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills, capable of effectively driving security initiatives across various departments. Ability to operate independently, managing complex projects with little oversight while maintaining strategic and operational goals.
