Who we are:
X is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager for our Record to Report (“R2R”) team to partner with cross functional teams to support India, Australia and New Zealand Accounting and India Tax operations. This role will be overseeing the financial reporting on multiple fronts, such as, financial statements, reconciliations, fixed assets, end-of-period responsibilities, and identifying any areas for process improvement. The candidate must be detailed oriented with strong communication skills to support and align to Asia Pacific Accounting operations.
The position will be based in Bangalore and will report to the Asia Pacific Senior Accounting Manager.
What you'll do
Support general accounting for India, Australia and New Zealand
Actively coordinate with the U.S. and intercompany finance teams throughout the close process
Review monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Perform and review fluctuation analysis of financial statements
Manage annual audit process and preparation of statutory reporting in compliance with local accounting standards
Ensure consistent application of procedures and controls for India, Australia and New Zealand to Asia Pacific
Review operating procedures developed by the Shared Services Center and support initiative to streamline Asia Pacific processes
Ensure tax compliance for India in accordance with local laws and regulations
Liaising directly with India local tax authorities and local tax advisors
Co-ordinate the preparation and filing of tax returns (consumption tax, corporation tax, other local taxes) for India in accordance with local deadlines
Implement and monitor transfer pricing strategy for India
Responsible for all India tax accounting under both US and local GAAP
Ensure compliance in relation to the taxation of stock based compensation for India
Keep abreast of changes to India tax legislation
Other responsibilities include but not limited to participate in special projects and system enhancements as assigned.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Good understanding of high tech group structures and inter-company transactions (foreign currency translation)
Good IT skills, well versed in Excel
ORACLE knowledge would be an advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Hands-on and committed individual with strong communication skills
Meticulous, organized and good attention to details
Able to work independently and collaboratively with all levels internally and externally
Ability to maintain financial accuracy while meeting tight timelines
