Experian Digital Workplace (EDW) provides IT consulting and technical support for front-office and back-office software systems. The EDW Billing team is looking for an Application Specialist to support and enhance in-house corporate applications.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to application functionality
Coordinate the resolution of technical activities (e.g. incidents, requests, enhancements) with users and vendors
Review functional requirements and technical designs
Analyze, design, develop, test and implement changes to the application
Identify potential improvement areas and recommend solutions
Produce application documentation e.g. operational guide, FAQs, architecture diagrams
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Hands-on experience with SQL to create queries and generate reports
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical individuals
5-8 years of Previous experience supporting and maintaining corporate applications
Self-starter able to work proactively and with minimal supervision
Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams
Desired:
All-round IT applications experience e.g. software development lifecycle, post-implementation support, data migrations, application upgrades
Previous exposure to Java, Linux, cloud-based applications
