Role Summary & Role Description


As Azure Kubernetes Administrator you will


  • Setting up optimal configuration of Azure Kubernetes Services
  • Rolling out AKS infrastructure upgrades
  • Optimal usage of Storage, Compute & Data services offered by cloud provider
  • Incorporate cloud n/w model and n/w security
  • Ensure adherence of Cloud architecture pillars – Security, Reliability, Cost Optimization, Performance, Operations, etc
  • Implement RBAC, Security governance at Control plane and Data Plane
  • Provide automation scripting involving Python, Shell Scripting, and Cloud CLI
  • Should be able to come up with best practices and standards for the IT teams including development and support
  • Problem solving, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Work both independently as well as within a team
  • Work in global and culturally diverse teams spanning multiple time zones

Core/Must have skills


  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and Azure Kubernetes Services
  • Experience in rolling out AKS infrastructure upgrades
  • Experience in working with web services and REST API
  • Clear understanding of Storage, Compute & Data services offered by cloud provider
  • Clear understanding on cloud n/w model and n/w security
  • Understanding of load balancer, Firewall, DNS, on-prem/cloud connectivity including IP, Subnest, TCP/IP, load balancing, etc
  • Understanding of Cloud architecture pillars – Security, Reliability, Cost Optimization, Performance, Operations, etc
  • Deep knowledge in Azure Networking, and available services
  • Understanding of RBAC, Security governance at Control plane and Data Plane
  • Experience in automation scripting involving Python, Shell Scripting, and Cloud CLI
  • Should be able to come up with best practices and standards for the IT teams including development and support
  • Proven problem solving, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently as well as within a team
  • Should be comfortable to work in global and culturally diverse teams spanning multiple time zones
  • 5+ years of managing K8s on Azure and building cloud native applications
