Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier. The ideal candidate will have a knack for precise financial transactions, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage a variety of cashier-related tasks efficiently. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate handling of cash, managing banking activities, and providing a positive checkout experience for customers.
RequirementsMain Responsibilities:
- Transaction Handling: Process sales transactions, receive payments, issue receipts, and ensure all transactions are accurate and efficient.
- Cashier Team Management: Assist in managing the cashier team, including scheduling shifts, training new team members, and ensuring a high level of accuracy and customer service.
- Banking Activities: Oversee daily banking activities, including depositing daily sales, managing change, and reconciling any discrepancies.
- Petty Cash Management: Handle petty cash funds, including disbursing funds for approved expenses and maintaining accurate records.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer queries, and resolving any issues at the point of sale.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, maintaining the security of the cash register and transactions.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cashier role or similar financial position.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further education in finance, accounting, or related field is a plus.
- Location: Must be able to commute to Anna Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
