Ensure compliance with customs laws, regulations, and Foreign trade policies
Manage the company's international logistics operations, including customs clearance and transportation
Ensure timely submission of Bill of entries to avoid penalties and taxes.
Oversee the preparation of all import/export documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
Coordinate with various Ministries to obtain Restricted Import Licenses, WPC ,BIS and any other requirements from time to time as per customs law.
Monitor and analyze trade data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Ensure compliance under Mercantile Trade Transactions.
Ensure the availment of applicable FTA benefit under various FT agreements.
Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure the smooth flow of goods and information across all aspects of the supply chain.
Ensure Customs Clearance for both imports and exports in a timely manner.
Oversee the closure of EDPMS and IDPMS for all direct imports and also High Sea sales.
Maintain good relationship with Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Proficiency in relevant computer software, including Microsoft Office and trade management software.
Profound knowledge in international trade regulations, including customs regulations, FTA , Mercantile Trade Transactions, export controls etc..
Good network with CHA’ forwarders and other associated people involved in customs activities.
Proficient in drafting replies to customs notices, attending customs queries and appearing for personal hearing before customs authorities.
Proficient technical knowledge about electronic goods.
Knowledge in determination of HSN
Preferably an engineering graduate or any other graduation with an added course in foreign trade and with 5-6 years of experience in handling Imports and exports of any medium to large sized organization in India.
Organization and attention to detail and deadlines.
Proficient in MS Office applications
Proven data management and processing skills and ability to report data *
Must be able to travel domestically - local
The ability to speak English, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Hindi is a plus but is not a must.
