How will you make an impact?


Pre-Sales application engineer (AE) will be responsible to assist Sales Account Managers across Northern India (Delhi, UP, Haryana, Rajasthan) wrt HPLC and Dissolution products. AE will perform customer demos, customer trainings, internal team training, product presentation, etc.  AE will also work closely with different stake holders like product specialist, marketing, R&D, product support, commercial teams as well as customers to understand current market and application requirements to develop new application notes, workflow solutions, etc. This position will be reporting to the Product Sales Manager - LPSD.


What you will do?


  • Assists to meet or exceed sales quota by providing sales and customers with technical/scientific expertise, primarily in the areas of application and technical support for HPLC and Dissolution Products.


  • Contributes to sales account planning.


  • Participates actively in the sales process from deal qualification to deal closure.


  • Owns the deal’s technical closure.


  • Responsible for meeting sales targets and for supporting sales organizations to meet targets.


  • Is knowledgeable of competition and able to identify lockout specifications (identify Agilent's competitive advantage over competition).


  • Analyzes customer requirements and recommends appropriate solutions.


  • Collaborates in the development of technical sales strategies.


  • Evaluate and support management on the ramp-to-volume strategies for new products before release.


  • Responsible for demos and for improving customers’ experience and happiness.


  • Will have to actively engage in conducting customer Sample analysis at Agilent facility as a part of POC to facilitate deal closure.


  • Provide training to the sales force.


  • Acts as the customer voice to influence future product/application design that meets customer needs, including writing application briefs to highlight product capabilities.


  • Prepares and delivers technical seminars to customers or potential customers and chips in to recognized scientific forums, including written, oral, and poster presentations.


  • May also chip in to post-sales activities.


  • Must consent to participate and meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements vital to gain access to customer sites.


  • Requirements may include but are not limited to, proof of identification, proof of certification to perform the work required, customer health and safety requirements, etc.


  • Conduct Agilent user meet with the help of the Sales team.


  • Conduct webinars/seminars to educate customers about Agilent’s outstanding capabilities


Qualifications

How will you you get here?


  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD. degree in Science or equivalent (chemistry or related discipline)


  • Typically, at least 4+ years of proven experience for entry into this level


  • Strong market knowledge


  • Excellent presentation skill along with strong interpersonal skills is required


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


  • The high comfort level of interacting, discussing, and addressing internal/external customers.


  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations across different parts of Northern India.
