During implementation-conversion process, provide technical guidance and formulate systems scope and objectives relative to client organization business plan and industry requirements.

What you will be doing 


To work as a member of the Professional services/ BA team in close co-operation with clients, systems development engineers as well as members of the business unit team. The job responsibilities would include:


  • Working with internal teams, client teams, project managers, understand and analyse the client’s requirements
  • Documenting business systems requirements for business unit or function.
  • Working with the client to configure the Compass application in terms of the client’s requirements.
  • Documenting the client’s requirements in appropriately formatted business specifications.
  • Assisting the Client Manager to obtain sign off on the requirements from the client.
  • Presenting the client’s requirements to the Design Team such that the requirements are fully understood.
  • Participating in design sessions for development of new functionality.
  • Participating in design sessions for the customization of existing functionality.
  • Being fully responsible for ensuring that client’s requirements are accurately reflected in the logical specifications produced by the Design Team.
  • Assisting in the development of appropriate test plans, both at a functional level and a regression testing level, as required.
  • Assisting the support analysts in resolving production issues as they arise.
  • Providing input to design sessions when necessary.
  • Assisting in the development of appropriate test plans, both at a functional level and a regression testing level, as required.
  • Report on progress & manage activities as per plan
  • Experience in testing life insurance product dealing with Policy administration system.

What you will need: 


  • Strong business analysis knowledge working for Life insurance (Individual and Group) business.
  • 10 to 12 years of experience as business analyst in financial services industry with Business Analysis
  • Technical Qualifications – Familiarity with relational databases and technical skills such as SQL, Oracle, UNIX, Excel Macros would be considered a plus.
  • Life Insurance Industry experience would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of working with any Insurance Policy Administration System will be considered a plus.
  • Excellent communication & analytics skills
  • Excellent skills on requirement gathering and documentation
  • Knowledge of SDLC, requirement gathering techniques
  • Insurance Domain certification like LOMA (ALMI or FLMI), Insurance Institute of India - Licentiate, Associate and Fellowship etc.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as being individually motivated.
  • Ability to set correct level expectations and deliver on those expectations.
  • Good written and verbal communications and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Proven self-starter with initiative to seek information and solve problems.
  • Successful within multi-tasking environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with external clients.
  • Has to be a team player
