The Opportunity:









The Senior Business System Engineer for SAP is part of the Application Development team in the Enterprise Solutions group of our IT organization. In this role, you will be responsible for performing system development and configuration of the Avantor global SAP environments and to work closely with the business and other partners in the global Avantor IT organization such as IT-BRM and IT-OPS You will be counted on to define best practices and identify areas for improvement. You will be working in a dynamic international environment where innovation, international collaboration and team spirit are key values In this position you report directly to the manager of shared services or depending on responsibility directly to manager Enterprise Services responsible for the respective SAP-Area

• Design new processes to match business requirements and perform system development.
• Provide third line business support for SAP and other core systems if applicable This will entail working flexibly as part of a European/NA support rota in line with the standard procedures.
• Act as the focal point for skill and expertise in _(depending on module)__area within the Enterprose Services team supporting the business.
• Participate in project teams and international project work
• Specialize in the SAP ___ modules
• Make system configuration (customizing) changes
• Undertake developments (ABAP, Web Dynpro, Adobe Form, JAVA, ….).
• Maintain SAP as appropriate with Hotpacks/ LCPs and release upgrades.
• Develop and maintain all interfaces with SAP and other core systems.
• Document all system changes in line with the standard procedures.
• Keep up to date with SAP releases and other technology advances so that the company can make best use of them as required by the business.
• Input ideas and suggestions, identifying the business areas where changes to business processes or new technology could benefit the company.

• Other duties as assigned
