About the Role:


As a Senior Manager- Marketplace, you'll spearhead strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing our marketplace dynamics at Careem Rides. You'll blend data-driven insights with operational acumen to navigate complexities and drive sustainable growth. We're seeking a dynamic leader who can adeptly navigate the business landscape while inspiring teams to achieve remarkable outcomes. 


What you’ll do:


Your primary responsibility will be to:


  • Collaborate closely with our central leadership and regional General Manager to execute the market strategy effectively. This entails meticulously balancing our marketplace dynamics, ensuring optimal allocation of spends, and enhancing the overall user experience by delivering the key reliability metric. 
  • Take ownership of critical aspects such as subsidy management, supply performance metrics, pricing strategies, and demand forecasting. 
  • Drive top-line growth while maintaining operational efficiency through rigorous analysis and proactive decision-making
  • Foster engagement across our platform for both drivers and riders.
  • Leverage detailed reporting models to empower stakeholders with actionable insights that inform strategic direction. 

What you’ll need:


  • 4-7 years of experience in any commercial, business intelligence, or strategy related roles, preferably within high-growth operations-driven businesses, telcos or startups.
  • A minimum Bachelor's degree is required (MBA candidates will be preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills are paramount, coupled with exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • You must demonstrate a proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a results-driven mindset are a must.
  • You should thrive on challenges, exhibit a self-starter attitude, and consistently uphold high standards of excellence.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data management is essential, with familiarity in SQL or Tableau considered advantageous.
