Job description
We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC
QC Inspector – Test Pack
Your main duties will be to: -
- Shall be capable of preparing Hydro test pack.
- Understand the PID,ISO drawing.
- Be fully aware of the Project Quality and HSE requirements.
- Review all fabrication specifications and Inspection & Test procedures; Review of all the codes and standards related to inspection requirements.
- Coordinate for all requests for mechanical inspections of test packs and coordinate the same with the relevant Project Team members.
- Attend the inspection witness and hold points as per the approved Quality Control Plan;
- Report on the inspections to the QC Coordinator; Follow up all Site NCR in area of responsibility and ensure proper actions and documentation; Carry out visual inspection of test packs, report on them and assess their compliance with specified acceptance criteria.
- Follow up the Mechanical Completion in area of responsibility; Verify and close punch items in area of responsibility.
- Follow up preservation of Site; Carry out inspection of parent materials and consumables.
- Review Contractor Test Pack QC personnel qualification and performance; Ensure the correct equipment is being used.
- Review and approve all inspection reports submitted by Contractor during Construction and Commissioning.
Profile
Ideally, you will have a bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized university, with a minimum of 8+ years of direct and relevant experience in the inspection of test packs in the oil and gas industries or fabrication companies. Additionally, a valid CSWIP 3.1/AWS-CWI certification is required as needed for the job. Experience in various in-service inspection practices, reviewing NDT reports, specifications, welding codes, etc., is also preferred.
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
