Position Title: Senior Specialist: Corporate Social Responsibility


Broad Band: M10: Professional


Talent Pipeline Layer: Managing Self Technical/Professional


2. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:


Contribute to the maintenance of Ma'aden's license to operate through the development and implementation of well directed Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and tactical plan, as well as a local content strategy and tactical plan that supports Ma'aden’s business strategy and supports Vision 2030


3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


Qualification:


* Bachelors Degree in Social Studies, Public Relations or relevant field
* Project Management in Development certificate (PMD)


Experience:


6 Years experience (of which at least last 2 years in Mining, Mining Engineering and Minerals Sectors)

* Responsible for the execution of CSR initiatives across Ma'aden, aligned to the CSR framework, policy and guidelines (as per budget and timelines)
* Ensure the provision of CSR and local content advice and services to Ma'aden's internal customers and joint ventures across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
* Collaborate and ensure alignment of activities with the wider CSR and local content subject matter experts
* Provide input on the development and design of mechanisms to monitor and measure the effectiveness of CSR and Local content programmes and constantly looks at ways to improve the programs


Stakeholder Engagement:
1. Drive community involvement in CSR initiatives in selected areas of company intervention
2. Implement and monitor CSR initiatives as per defined CSR framework, policy and guidelines (as per budget and timelines)
3. Conduct social baseline and impact assessment studies
4. Contribute to the identification, analysis and mapping key stakeholders
5. Provide input and contribute to the development of effective engagement plans
6. Assist with the investigation of social grievances
7. Assist with resettlement activities where applicable


Local Content Development:
1. Implement enterprise and supplier development strategies and tactical plans, including the required supporting business and governance processes, procedures, systems and tools in order to enable Ma'aden to meet its targets for local content development
2. Identify, nurture, grow and leverage both internal and external partnerships necessary to successfully execute the local content strategy particularly as it relates to Enterprise Development, Supplier Development and Local Procurement
3. Develop the local skills database
4. Actively promote direct and indirect employment opportunities in the hosting communities
5. Actively promote direct and indirect skills development opportunities provided by Ma'aden in the hosting communities
6. Advocate workforce inclusivity of vulnerable groups
7. Develop robust working relationships with local suppliers to achieve cost effectiveness, accurate delivery and for them to be strong advocates for Ma'aden


Procurement & Contracting (in collaboration with procurement professionals):
1. Actively promote business opportunities in the hosting communities
2. Conduct engagement dialogues with local business in collaboration with Procurement
3. Influence main contractors’ performance regarding local employment and local procurement


Social Investment:
1. Develop and design social investment initiatives in the hosting communities
2. Develop beneficial relationships with stakeholders in non-profit and governmental sectors
3. Drive the implementation of the identified social investment initiatives with all relevant stakeholders
4. Develop and ensure auditable records and evidence of the implementation of social investment initiatives
5. Collaborate with Communication department to ensure in-depth coverage on the social investment initiatives conducted by Ma'aden


Communication, Admin and Logistics:
1. Develop and prepare periodic and special reporting including social part under GRI
2. Develop and ensure auditable records required by the Community Management System
3. Drive all logistical support required
4. Develop CSR communication material (press releases, stake holders engagements story's)
5. Drive participation in the national and global days and events
