Claims Manager

Role Purpose

• To manage the Chubb claims function in Türkiye including team building, claims portfolio management
• Control any TPA appointed to manage specific lines of business
• To work closely with Chubb Regional Manager in ensuring the efficient operation of the claims team. Be the focal point for all internal and external stakeholders in respect of claims topics. Liaise with the claims line of business managers.

Besides managing the claims function, the role also requires active claims handling on type of claims that can be adjusted to the profile of the job holder. Preferably skills and experience in Casualty or Property or Multiline are preferred. The role will also provide operational and management reports to the various stakeholders. The role will be fully responsible for the claims team and people related management topics and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure claims service delivery in accordance with service standards, claims guidelines, best practices and local procedures
• Ensure that key controls are fully effective: include timely claims reserving and reporting, portfolio review and management, managing the peer review process, monitoring of claims delegated authorities
• Manage the audit process of TPAs and local operations and ensure follow-up
• Manage staff appraisal process, ensuring appropriate input from claims technical managers
• Develop staff succession and development plan to reflect current and future needs
• Control the Vendor management Process
• Provide management and co-ordination on key strategic projects affecting claims in region
• Provide support in respect of all high-profile claims that impact the business. Interact with insured and their broker on such loss as required
• In assistance to the Claims LOB managers provide local technical oversight on large losses and ensure that appropriate reference is made
