Job Description

The Role:


Greenstone Equity Partners is currently hiring talented individuals in our Partner Relations department.


The mission of Greenstone’s Partner Relations department is to source and sustain mutually beneficial commercial relationships with leading global fund managers to enable Greenstone to provide local GCC investors with exclusive access to sought-after investment opportunities. Our Partner Relations team continually researches thousands of alternative fund managers, builds relationships with their management teams, and negotiates exclusive mandates to facilitate regional investments into the top-performing funds that best align with our investors’ current allocation strategies.


The role requires an understanding of alternative investment products, coupled with the ability to successfully perform all activities required to succeed in raising capital from sophisticated regional investors including SWFs, financial institutions, investment firms and family offices.


Responsibilities:


SCREEN, RESPOND TO, AND APPROPRIATELY ROUTE INBOUND LEADS:


  • Receive, screen, and directly respond to inbound requests for GSE’s services.
  • Ensure that all prospects are qualified and routed appropriately within a reasonable time period (i.e., respond to highly qualified leads within four business hours, and respond to all others within one business day).
  • Proactively seek guidance on qualification and routing criteria and contribute to publishing such criteria to the department. Periodically update such documentation as Greenstone evolves.

DEVELOP TARGET LISTS OF PROSPECTIVE FUND MANAGER PARTNERS:


  • Collaborate with the Partner Relations team and Greenstone Management to understand best-fit products and fund managers for different investor segments in Greenstone’s markets (on a persistent basis and ad-hoc basis).
  • Review Greenstone IR Meeting reports identifying potential product/investor fit opportunities.
  • Leverage industry research tools (such as Preqin, Pitchbook, etc.), proprietary CRM information, and other creative methods to create and publish weekly target lists for the Partner Relations team to reach out to.
  • Seek continual feedback on such target lists to ensure that Greenstone is consistently producing the right types of partnership opportunities to maximize its business potential.

LEAD DUE DILIGENCE FOR EVERY PROSPECTIVE FUND MANAGER PARTNER YOU ARE ASSIGNED:


  • Dissect investor presentations and other investment materials to complete product due diligence briefs and outline track record information.
  • Communicate directly with prospective fund manager partners to make reasonable requests to acquire information to assist product due diligence.
  • Take extreme ownership of maintaining the momentum of the due diligence pipeline you are assigned.

COMPLETE OTHER PARTNER RELATIONS’ DUTIES ON AN ONGOING BASIS:


  • Update and maintain various proprietary and third-party CRM systems to accurately record the status of the Partner Relations pipeline.
  • Assist in the preparation of customized proposals and pre-selected investor presentations for prospective fund manager partners.
  • Lead or participate in projects and industry programs to create demand for the GSE’s services, including, but not limited to, publishing content online, updating GSE’s online profiles, participating in industry awards programs, league tables, industry conferences and events, and other projects/programs as identified from time to time.
  • Complete other projects and participate in other departmental programs, as assigned.
