SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The holder of this position will be responsible for receiving raw materials, paint production and filling paints according to the daily production schedule and ensuring the products are made and filled according to HSEQ requirements and procedures.
This position will be part of the production team and will be based in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Responsibilities:
- Receive raw materials, packaging, and finished goods according to procedure.
- Produce paints to the correct quality as stated in the work Instructions.
- Fill approved paints according to work instructions.
- Take the initiative to improve daily tasks/topics.
- Use IT tools available at the work center.
- Participate actively in ongoing improvement works on site, like 5S housekeeping and operator-driven maintenance (ODM).
- Follow internal and external rules/procedures and follow Jotun’s values.
- To work in other areas of the production department as per the instructions of the shift Foreman.
- To keep the entire department area and premises clean and tidy before leaving the work spot and take care of the wastewater/ solvent recycling and waste disposal.
- Follow Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards during working and & take safety measures to reduce fire risk.
- Perform daily tasks according to Procedures within the relevant area.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Basic knowledge of English (Read & Speak)
- 2-3 years’ experience in paint manufacturing production.
- Experience in operating pallet trucks is preferred.
- Grade 12 / High School Certified
- Previous experience in chemical handling or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of basic chemical safety principles and practices.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods.
