Overall Job purpose


As a HR Business Partner for the assigned business unit , will lead responsibility of effective people strategy and engage with the GS, Medical and Hosted employee segments to enable and impact business success. This role is responsible to ideate, conceptualize and implement various HR initiatives including workforce planning, strategic HR business partnering, performance management and succession planning  & policy review. The responsibility would be to ensure perpetuation of all critical people interventions and policies to be rolled out for the assigned functions.


As a L&D Specialist for the India Affiliate, will be responsible to provide effective consultation on compensation and benefit programs at Lilly. Additionally, the incumbent will work closely with other team members in the broader global compensation organization to ensure Lilly India consistently delivers competitive compensation programs that align to our pay for performance philosophy and effectively delivered to the organization.


Responsibilities:


  • HR Business Partner
    • Ensure a strong collaborative working relationship with the business leaders and be an integral part of the BU meetings involving people matters
    • Provide support that is aligned with functions and HR strategy that enables seamless high performance
    • Performance Management : Manage the performance appraisal, calibration exercise and performance improvement plans for employees in consultation with leaders
    • Employee Relations :
      • Work with In line managers and employees to address all types of employee concerns and issues ensuring a balance and upholding Lilly’s ways of working
      • Partner with HR Investigation lead to support implement any disciplinary decisions in line with Lilly policies.
      • Take preventive steps to increase awareness in the organisation and create a culture of discipline
    • Talent Management
      • Partner with the Business leaders to emphasize on Individual Development Plans for the employees to support career development
      • Be the HR champion for the Businesses assigned to nurture talent, propagate succession planning and identification of hi-potentials and career planning
      • Create awareness for various Reward & recognition programs, Talent Management processes ensuring high level of employee motivation and drive strong performance culture
    • HR Metrics and Data Support:
      • Ensure to drive data metrics and analytics through various reports to partner with business leaders while making people related decisions.
      • Identify and create strong people metrics to create awareness and drive conversations with business leaders to drive employee retention, workforce planning etc.
  • Learning & Development
    • Partner closely with the IBU GLD SPOC and create a Learning & Development framework for the India affiliate
    • Identify needs across functions and BUs especially on the leadership competencies and prepare the learning plan for the affiliate
    • Lead the capability discussion along with a Sales trainer for the Leadership team and responsible for learning plan implementation
    • Proactively lead with the IBU partners for the several Nomination based programs and create awareness about it amongst the leadership team. Additionally, ensure a required database of the utilisation amongst affiliate talents and present to the leadership team
    • Partner with leaders across functions and BUs to seek nominations and should be able to influence in making appropriate nomination decisions based on criteria and seat availability
    • Partner and leverage LCCI learning platforms and tools as appropriate and extend similar solutions as per the assessment for the India commercial affiliate
    • Responsible for leading the various TTTs on the required key leadership modules
    • Responsible for keeping track of training data for the affiliate as requested by the region (i.e. Training scorecard, HR Dashboard)
    • Upload and manage the local mandatory content to be deployed through the Success Factors and end to end manage the accuracy of programs for the various employee groups
    • Be the custodian for bringing in required automation and rolling out the Training dashboard in partnership with Tech@Lilly team of affiliate
    • Benefits Champion for the affiliate – Ensure awareness on any local market information to initiate conversation with the HRD and Benefits COE on ensuring benefits programs in India are competitive and relevant to local market needs
    • Responsible for driving Onboarding for the new joiners to create a superlative employee experience and Liaise with the leaders across teams to ensure the onboarding plan is adhered to.
    • Partner with the Sales Trainer for the affiliate and ensure there are synergies across the learning interventions for the affiliate for different target population groups

Basic Requirements: 


  • MBA/PGDM qualification is required
  • Minimum 5 years of total experience with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development or/and HR partnering
  • Good knowledge / implementation Insights, SSL (Situational Self Leadership) and EQ trainings
  • High on integrity, collaboration and trustworthiness
  • Strong business acumen and ability to think in the deployment of various HR programs
  • Comfortable to challenge with respect and passion to deliver results in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Should have strong analytics, presentation and interpersonal skills and solution mindset
  • Deep knowledge on HR Systems and processes to drive execution
  • Excellent communication skills – Written and verbal and fluent in English language
  • Adherence to Lilly’s values and purpose
  • Ability to work multiple subjects, prioritize and deliver all of them
  • Ability to work with different stakeholders across functions and geographies
