About the job Accountant

Our Client  in Jeddah is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


Responsibilities:


  1. Prepare and record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  3. Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  4. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  5. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  6. Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
  7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  8. Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings.
  9. Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  11. Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes.
  12. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  13. Provide support during external audits and examinations.
  14. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

Requirements:


  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred.
  3. Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  5. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  9. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  10. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Prior experience with financial analysis and reporting tools is a plus.
  12. Knowledge of tax regulations and experience with tax preparation is desirable.
