Description
JASARA PMC is currently hiring for the position of Utilities Manager - Design. As a Utilities Manager - Design at JASARA PMC, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design and planning of utility systems for various construction projects. You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of utility systems.
You will be responsible for developing design guidelines, reviewing technical submissions, and providing technical expertise and guidance. Join our team and contribute to the development of infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Client\s development team in the management of consultants specializing in wet (such as plumbing, irrigation and stormwater management) & dry (such as power distribution, telecommunications, and gas pipelines) utilities networks and systems Assist Client’s development team in managing the technical delivery of utilities design services by design consultants maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance through meticulous checking Aid design managers in managing, reviewing and providing technical inputs to the document submittals throughout the entire utilities design review process from concept through detailed design until obtaining final Authority approvals Collaborate with interface managers and stakeholder managers Aid in preparation of scopes for utilities design services for Request for Proposals (RFP), when required Assist during the tendering process (for consultancies, construction contracts, others) Contribute to overall progress reporting vs program of consultant’s services Contribute to overall reporting on cost vs contract value of consultant’s services Assist in monitoring utilities design schedules submitted by Consultants Implement assigned risk mitigation actions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field Total of 15 years of experience in the design and planning of utility systems 7 years’ experience in building services design or utilities design within consultancy and/or client representative; Minimum 5 years’ experience as a building services/utilities engineer or related discipline in concept/preliminary and detailed design development (drawings, calculations, reports, specification, investigations & bill of quantities) for building projects; Knowledge of design process for concept and detailed design; Experience in working with BIM modelers for utility systems; Time management for multiple tasks with multiple deadlines;* Ability to tailor work effort to the time allocated to any specific tasks
