What you'll be doing
Assist in conducting market research to identify potential suppliers, products, and trends. Collaborate with the buying team to develop effective sourcing strategies and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
Assist in analyzing sales and inventory data to make informed buying decisions. Support the buying team in managing supplier relationships, including communication, performance evaluation, and issue resolution.
Participate in product development and assortment planning activities. Assist in preparing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Monitor and track deliveries, resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding procurement and purchasing practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and risks.
Contribute to the overall success of the buying department by actively participating in team meetings, sharing ideas, and suggesting process improvements.
