Field Service Engineer – Mechanical Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines Join our IET Gas Tech Services Team!

You will be an expert in rotating equipment, focused on site activities management such as planning, manpower resources/tools assignment and technical assistance to complete the work scope according to the contractual requirements.
As a Field Service Engineer – Heavy-Duty Gas Turbine, you will be responsible for:
Leading and executing independently the inspection of Heavy-duty Gas Turbines and accessories. Assisting the Start-up Engineer during the commissioning phase. Ensuring the proper and safe operation of the machine by evaluating the running parameters and troubleshooting control system problems as they arise Writing accurate professional reports acting as a single point of contact for customers and stakeholders Using company e-tools to retrieve technical documents and management packing lists, bills of material and drawings Leading and executing assembly/installation and alignment of the equipment including foundation and soft foot checks. Ensuring all in-field activities are carried out safely complying with company environmental Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution in an Engineering field Have a minimum of 7 years of experience in maintenance and major inspection field activities on Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines (HDGT) (Frame 5, Frame 6B & Frame 7) Be able to understand and implement mechanical drawings (section dwg; construction dwg; P&ID alignment specification, flushing/blowing procedure; piping specification; etc.) Have excellent English fluency in both spoken and written Be available to travel frequently to on and offshore sites Have analytical and problem-solving skills together with good interpersonal & organizational skills.

Hello everyone. This is Hirsan. I'm aspiring associate TPS field service engineering leadership track. Basically, this track is designed to be completed in three years and first year is mainly dedicated to acquire knowledge and capabilities of different turbomachinery products and services through extensive training sessions and on-the-job assignments. I am currently in my first year and I've just completed a virtual technical training, which I became familiar with different TPS products and their application in the industry, different digital tools that we use in TPS. So basically, I'm ready now to go on-the-job assignment, which is a challenging assignment on the customer side to retain what I've learned to recall so far. Thank you.
