Senior Java and Appian Developer - Assistant Manager

Role Summary & Role Description:

As a Senior Java and Appian Developer you will contribute to the development, enhancement, configuration and maintenance of Investment Account Services platforms as a member of an agile scrum team. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong development team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space using cutting edge technology.

As a Java and Appian Technical Specialist candidate will:

• Design, Develop, Test, and Validate application solutions using Appian and Java for Alpha Investment Account Services platforms based on the business requirements.
• Development of Appian, Java and API and integrations with other internal/external systems
• Sound fundamentals in Java, Appian, design patterns, requirement understanding, unit-testing.
• Working experience of Agile Methodology
• Should possess a strong working experience in Architecture, development, related SDLC processes, excellent API, microservices and database knowledge.
• Sound knowledge/experience on PL/SQL, No SQL and SQL programming to an extent to carry out the necessary Application development and integration work.
• Sound knowledge of Front office, Middle office and Back-office domain services (Investment accounting services, Cash services)
• Work on critical Development, Support and enhancement requests, and ensure the availability, accessibility and accuracy of the data delivered from these platforms.
• Issue debugging, investigate application related issues, handle and respond to critical application related support issues raised by the business with appropriate fix or technical resolution within a short span of time.
• Understanding the business requirements and converting to the technical requirements
• Review and guide the deliverables of the junior developers in the team.
• Provide plans and estimation of the development tasks assigned.
• Communicate effectively within the global teams and with business teams to carry out project related tasks smoothly in a coordinated approach.
• Should exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving skills and aptitude to work in a complex and challenging work environment.
• Knowledge, experience of AWS/Azure cloud and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
• Certifications in Appian, Java, Cloud is highly desirable

Core/Must have skills:

• Total 8-10 years of experience
• 6+ Years Development experience in Appian
• 8+ Years Exp in Core Java/ J2EE, API development, micro services
• 3+ Years Exp in SQL/ PLSQL/No SQL (Prefer Oracle database)
• 3+ Years Exp in MQ (Middle Tier) , Kafka (Service to Service communication)

Good to have skills:

• Any public Cloud Experience
• Kubernetes, Docker
• Technical Certifications
