The Senior Process Engineer & EHS Specialist is responsible for driving Process Engineering , process Safety initiatives EHS Programs and systems, continuous improvement projects within the facility ensuring that Ingredion Safety Procedures and systems are followed 

Core Responsibilities:

• Basic Engineering & Design - Basic engineering calculations for process plants & equipment, Material & Energy balance, preparations of PFDs & P&IDs, PDS of equipment, IPDS, plant & equipment layout of Chemical plants and Specialty chemicals Plants, Sizing & process design of equipment like heat exchangers, condensers, reactors with heating jackets, storage vessels & tanks etc., Conducting Front End Engineering Design, Detailed engineering projects.
• Utility & Hydraulic calculations- Calculations of utility plant capacities such as boilers, water & wastewater treatment plants, chilling plants & compressed air requirement for actuated valves etc., preparation of utility summary., Pump hydraulic calculations, preparation of pump data sheets.
• Process Control- Process Control logic & auto sequencing development, FAT of software & co-ordination with automation vendors.
• Troubleshooting & Process Improvement - Managing pre commissioning, commissioning, erection of new project/Process. Troubleshooting, Process improvement managing process parameter so as to improve quality of product, minimizing time cycle.
• Technology Transfer -  Technology transfer & documentation, demonstration of laboratory batches, preparation of OPEX and CAPEX for technology 
  transfer.
• EHS & Process Safety-  Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) on existing and new processes. Provide oversight for the site Management of Change (MOC) Process, Manage the site PHA schedule and recommendation implementation plan. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for incidents and near misses. Provide oversight and conduct audits for Pre Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
•  Techno-commercial comparisons of offers & technical support in procurement and vendor finalization. 
•  Engineering Standards-  Ensure that Ingredion corporate engineering standards for project management and engineering designs are implemented at the manufacturing sites

Qualified candidates will have:

Mandatory requirements:

• B.E./B. Tech in Chemical Engineering.
• 8-10 year Work experience in Pharmaceutical/Specialty Chemical /Petrochemical company
• Process Safety / Energy Management Experience will be preferred
• English fluency, both written and spoken

Required behaviors and skills:

• Strong communication skills with Corporate Engineering as well as shop floor, for example Fabricators , Consultant , Contractors.
• Knowledge of Auto CAD & MS Project
• Preparing Project Status Report and Management system reporting
• Leadership – Managing Improvement / Capital Projects Independently
• Influence in working with different stakeholders within a manufacturing facility within a matrix organization
• Flexibility & Agility within the organization , working at different manufacturing sites within India
