Sr. Grants Officer

  • Description: Responsibilities:
    1. Grant Proposal Development:
      • Research and identify potential funding opportunities from governmental agencies, international organizations, and other grant-making organizations.
      • Develop and write compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and priorities.
      • Collaborate with program staff to gather relevant information and data for grant applications.
    2. Grant Initiation and Management:
      • Monitor and manage the grant application process from inception to submission, ensuring all deadlines are met.
      • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements.
      • Preparation of progress reports for existing grants if required.
      • Conduct grants relevant capacity assessment or other requirements.
    3. Relationship Building:
      • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funding partners and donors.
      • Collaborate with the development team to identify new funding opportunities and strengthen existing partnerships.
    4. Research and Analysis:
      • Stay informed about trends and changes in the grant landscape, particularly in the legal aid and justice sectors.
      • Conduct regular research to identify new sources of funding and stay updated on grant-making guidelines.
      • Collaborate with company team members to understand and document needs to support projects design.
    5. Compliance:
      • Ensure compliance with all grant-related regulations and reporting requirements.
      • Work closely with finance and program staff to track and report on the use of grant funds.
    6. Organizational and Team Support:
      • Mentor, support and oversee the Grants Officer and other administrative support staff in the unit.
      • Develop recommendations to enhance the unit’s performance.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree is preferred.
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in grant writing and successful grant applications.
    • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
    • Strong research, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Excited to learn and passionate about creating positive change in Jordanian society.
