Candidates must have in-depth business development
experience of selling food products to key accounts in retail and modern trade
via distributors in Saudi Arabia.
Our client is a global leader in the export of premium
quality dry foods.
We are recruiting an experienced country sales manager to
join their Saudi Arabia operations to accelerate sales and revenue volume and
brand presence through the local distributor network for key accounts in retail
and modern trade.
The successful candidate will have P&L ownership and
distributor network and revenue growth accountability for Saudi Arabia.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a credible sales
track record in profitable food products distributor management.
Role Summary
- Define and execute annual go-to-market strategies and
roadmaps to increase the Saudi Arabia distributor network.
- Optimize sales strategies to achieve sales and distribution
targets to accelerate volume and revenue growth and profitability.
- Identify new distributor opportunities and work with
distribution partners and their sales teams to grow the brand and market share.
- Establish merchandising standards and implement sales
promotions focusing on product positioning, market penetration and volume
growth.
- Conduct distributor business reviews – volumes sales,
product mix, pricing, promotions, service levels and cost saving initiatives.
- Lead pricing negotiations to deliver margin improvement,
achieve profitable growth and secure long-term agreements.
- New Product Distribution.
- Manage entire supply chain from deal negotiation,
activations, marketing and supply chain management to ensure smooth operations.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 10 - 15 years’ business development in distributor
management and route-to-market strategies experience in Saudi Arabia in the
CPG, FMCG and food service sector.
- Proven track record in consistently exceeding sales targets
in the competitive UAE retail and modern trade industry through import sales of
grains, rice, pulses and dry foods or Agri products is mandatory.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen capabilities in deal
structuring, direct import and international cross market tenders.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to utilize category
and shopper insights for planning and forecasting.
- Saudi Arabia / KSA driving license is mandatory.
Candidate Profile
- Currently living in the Gulf region – preference will be
given to candidates living in Saudi Arabia.
- Fluent in English.
- Fluency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation
skills with the ability to build long term business relationships.
