Job Description
Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a strong background in sourcing and negotiating contracts. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies, in line with the company's objectives and budget.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting thorough market research to ensure the best value for money.
- Negotiate contracts and terms of agreement with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the procurement process, including requesting and reviewing quotations, issuing purchase orders, and managing delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, ensuring compliance with internal audit requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance, conducting regular reviews and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Stay informed about market trends and industry developments, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, fostering strong partnerships and resolving any disputes or conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions, while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
