The novice will not learn if he does not find the support of the team leader and his experienced teammates. The team leader must spend more time with the inexperienced to help them and gain more experience.

Time has to be spent equally between team members.  For those with no experience they sould learn how to be on the first steps and those who has the experience should be learning how to become leaders and team-members.

definitely fair to the team to see who you are,  helpful and supportive to an inexperienced team member plus it gives a sense of security to the whole team that there is someone who can help in the case of inexperience
