Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:
  • Accounts portfolio periodical reviews / classification of non-performing accounts, recoveries etc.
  • Responsible for regular monitoring and follow-up of accounts with overdue status, conducting Quarterly provisioning exercise on a timely manner. • Responsible for review of Financing Portfolio and identify non-performing assets with a view of down grade, classification/provisioning and review/analyse settlement proposals emanating from Recovery & Collection Unit & Legal Department.
  • Responsible for preparing reports in time in order to meet reporting submission timelines with Central Bank such asmonthly, quarterly, semi-annually & annually.
  • Responsible for preparing reports annually for rating agencies such as Moodys, S&P, and Fitch etc. related to Risk Management Area.
  • To liaise with various department such as CAD, IFOD, OCD, Finance,  Investment Division& Business etc. to resolve/get the various reports & data to execute the proposals/compiling the reports

To automate/developed the reports related to CBUAE (BRFs) and other  reports ,to liaise with IT and various department such as CAD, IFOD, OCD, Finance to enhance the system,  


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Preparation of reports (BRF, Fermat, Overdue/NPL reporting);
  • Prepare/evaluate/recommend to Head of Remedial & CB reporting the Central Bank UAE reports for onwardsubmission with minimum turnaround time after ensuring that complete, correct and consistent reporting is made as per the guidelines available from Central Bank.
  • Preparing the detailed reports related to NPL/Overdues accounts giving complete information e.g. follow up status, comments from Business/Recovery & Collection & Legal Department and action required which is then presented to management for the necessary approvals.
  • Responsible for preparing the reports within allocated deadlines in order to meet reporting submission timelines with Central Bank such as monthly, quarterly, semi-annually & annually.
  • Preparing of Risk Management Committee report on quarterly basis.
  • Monitoring & Follow Up:
  • Responsible for regular monitoring and follow-up of accounts with overdue status, supporting Head of Department for providing reports with updated position of each account and conducting Quarterly provisioning exercise on a timely manner.
  • Responsible for monitoring of NPL and overdue accounts with a view to down grade/upgrade, classification/provisioning and analyse.
  • Monitoring of overall reporting are done in as per the regulation of CBUAE and policies and procedure.
  • People Management • To provide support to R&C, Legal Dept. and Business Units with respect to B&D accounts ensuring transactions approved are concluded in timely basis, support in ensuring completeness of the remedial proposals, liaison with CAD, IFOD, and Branches.

Frame Work: 


To follow procedures & policies of the Bank in place. Decision making is handled by Department Head or Higher Authorities based on case by case.

Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk functions in an Islamic/Commercial Banking environment with through knowledge on risk assessment.
Academic qualification:
  • Bachelor: Accounting

Language Skills:


  •  Strong in both oral and written : Arabic & English.
