DESCRIPTION
Amazon Middle East and North Africa team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who is passionate about building great products for our Customers & Sellers. The SDE-II will be based Cairo,Egypt and must have Software engineering experience involving designing, architecting and solving complex problems.
Key job responsibilities
The SDE-II will:
Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables.
Write high quality distributed system software
Work in an agile, startup-like development environment, where you are always working on the most important stuff.
About the team
Team's vision is to make Amazon a go-to place for our customers in MENA for their daily purchase needs from vast selection we offer through marketing initiatives and value perception. We work on highly agile environment while insisting on highest standards, our projects help with new customer acquisition, retention and drive engagement through innovative marketing approaches. We help MENA customers throughout their lifecycle from new to settled customer state. We work with WW-technology teams on diverse set of technology stacks on interesting and innovative projects and invent on behalf of our customers in MENA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
