Job Description

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum aligned with educational standards and learning objectives.
  2. Plan and deliver engaging and interactive math lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  3. Teach fundamental math concepts, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and calculus, using a variety of instructional strategies and resources.
  4. Foster a growth mindset and a love for mathematics by creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
  5. Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their progress.
  6. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students, including those with diverse learning styles, backgrounds, and abilities.
  7. Integrate technology and real-world applications into math instruction to enhance student engagement and relevance.
  8. Collaborate with colleagues to align math instruction with other subject areas and promote interdisciplinary learning experiences.
  9. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders regarding math curriculum, student progress, and achievements.


Skills

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  2. Teaching certification or licensure for mathematics education preferred.
  3. Previous experience teaching mathematics at the middle or high school level.
  4. Strong knowledge of math concepts and instructional strategies across various grade levels.
  5. Ability to communicate complex math concepts clearly and effectively to students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  6. Passion for teaching and inspiring students to excel in mathematics.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  8. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and adjust instruction as needed.
  9. Proficiency in using technology tools and resources to enhance math instruction and student learning.
  10. Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development as a math educator.
