Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic aviation group of companies based in the UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a professional accounting qualification and have a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience. Qualified accountants and auditors are preferred for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure their professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Analyze and review monthly reports, providing suggestions, identifying variations, and determining their causes.
Skills
Qualifications and Skills
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in accounting or finance.
- Prior experience in the aviation industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of local and international taxes, including corporate tax, VAT, double taxation treaties, and more.

Qualified accountants and auditors with relevant certifications and experience.
