Fire Fighting Technician (Oil & Gas maintenance experience)

We are looking for a skilled Fire Fighting Technician with experience in Oil & Gas maintenance to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a Fire Fighting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing fire protection systems in various facilities, ensuring they are in proper working order to protect lives and property. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire fighting, along with experience in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect and test fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, fire pumps, and extinguishers, to ensure they are functioning correctly
2. Identify and repair any faults or malfunctions in fire protection systems
3. Conduct regular maintenance on fire protection equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts
4. Install new fire protection systems as needed, ensuring they comply with local regulations and industry standards
5. Perform fire drills and emergency response training for facility staff
6. Maintain accurate documentation of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest fire protection codes, regulations, and techniques

Preferred Candidate:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Fighting Technician
2. Prior experience working in the oil and gas industry
3. Valid certifications in fire fighting and first aid
4. Strong understanding of fire protection systems and equipment
5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
6. Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment
7. Attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety protocols
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills
